Weird sense of deja vu today, feeling a bit like August of 2009 when the ELCA chose to ram the iceberg.
The difference is, I think, this time the issues are not doctrinal or moral, but “merely” jurisdictional.
Or, as my Priest said yesterday in his sermon, on all levels of the church we need to put our egos on the shelf and take to heart yesterday’s Epistle to Titus to have nothing to do with “stupid controversies.”
