Prediction: once Putin’s government finally dissolves and/or a new Patriarch replaces Kirill, the Moscow patriarchate will resume communion with Constantinople.
This is a spiritual Brexit of sorts of Ukraine. And just as the process of Britain leaving the European Union will be tense for a time, but better for everyone (including Europe at large) in the end — the same hold true for Ukrainian Orthodoxy’s path to autocephaly. Eastern Orthodoxy and Christendom at large will be better for it.
In the meantime, prayers that the War in Eastern Ukraine comes to an end. It has already claimed 10,000 lives, many of them civilians and including children. And so far, no end in sight.

We have Ukrainian American fellow believers in our OCA parish. If OCA is also forced to break communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, I expect NONE of them to leave!!!! And I also expect my Serbian parish to take the side of most of world Orthodoxy against the EP as well.
There are moves afoot to limit the damage. I hope that they succeed. Lord have mercy!!!!
