Even if your race is "white"?
pre-WWII the Ivies discriminated strongly against Jewish applicants by saying they favored certain “character” traits which just happened to be found much more among WASPy prep school applicants. They wanted to be sure to keep down the numbers of those unwelcome nerdy Jewish kids, which is quite analogous to what they have now been doing to Asian-American kids for generations: pretending that highly qualified applicants are “too academic” and not “well rounded” enough for the Ivy League.... gee, maybe they should take more of those bright promising Asian-American kids and help them to further their educations....
A lie. They use race to determine who is admitted. The only reason why they admit Whites is for THEIR MONEY! Somebody has to pay the tuition for those specially-privileged individuals who don’t pay tuition.
Back in the early 90s I told this fact to a Sociology Professor (hey, I needed an easy credit) and he looked at me like I was nuts.

The minority students also flock very disproportionately to easier subjects such as “Afro-American Studies” etc. and avoid disproportionately the tough subjects such as STEM etc.
When Cornel West was teaching at Harvard one of the controversies was that then-President Larry Summers thought that giving “easy As” was not worthy of the rank of a “University Professor” (Cornel West had been one of only 20 or so out of 1,000 profs given that highest designation with the best salary and benefits). West was so outraged at liberal Summers urging him to raise his academic standards that West angrily departed...... for Princeton, where he was recruited and welcomed with open arms by a more servile Leftard administration.
They better ban the teaching of game theory immediately—before us dumb people figure it out...

In a closed system like admissions, anything that helps one person’s admission hurts another’s.

Harvard knows it would be heavily Asian and white without this discrimination. What they ignore is it would also be an incentive to do well in high school for students who really wanted an elite name on their college diploma.

No, they don’t. That’s a myth. Grade inflation at Harvard and elsewhere is so pervasive that almost everyone graduates with honors. Getting HIGH honors at these schools is very tough, but not passing.
Does this study include fake Indians?
