Trump’s Climate Denial Isn’t Just a War on Our Coastlines. It’s a War on Our Brains.
New York Magazine ^ | October 17, 2018 | By David Wallace-Wells

The list of crimes Donald Trump has committed against the planet, in just two years, is already so impeachably long that his slippery-fish climate denial registers as hardly more than a footnote. “I have a natural instinct for science,” the president bragged to the AP Tuesday, a week after the U.N. raised the alarm on global warming that is much faster, and more horrifying, than it had acknowledged before.

It was an especially grotesque demonstration of bad faith, given that just weeks ago, his administration had announced that, as a matter of climate policy, it was now assuming a worst-case global warming scenario - four degrees Celsius this century, an assumption suggesting that any effort to regulate American emissions would be effectively pointless. In the blink of an eye, the Republican Party seemed to pass directly from insisting that global warming isn’t happening to taking for granted a climate hellscape so inevitable that there’s nothing we can, or should, do about it.

There is, actually, a silver lining here - at least that strange, now-familiar kind of silver lining for climate change, whereby awful, harrowing news seems possibly to contain the potential to wake people up from their suicidal slumber.

About 9 million people die each year, globally, from small-particulate pollution - that is one out of every six deaths everywhere on the planet. In the U.S., the numbers are smaller, but not that much smaller: a 2013 study found 200,000 preventable deaths each year, in the U.S., from air pollution. And “lesser” effects are pervasive, too, and horrifying: small-particulate pollution causes dramatic drops in cognition, significant increases in the prevalence of mental illness, and is “strongly correlated” with dementia.

What an idiot. Pollution is pollution. Particulates are pollution.

The distraction from the real cause of combating actual pollution is the global warming alarmist idiocy that CO2, a gas as necessary to life as H2O and O2, as necessary as heat, is a pollutant.

Particulates should be minimized and controlled. That has absolutely nothing to do with global warming.

liberal’s alarmist globull warming is revived due to the President Trump/ russian collusion angle petering out, as well as to distract attention from the Kavanaugh fiasco.

The temperature/pressure on PLUTO is increasing, so says MIT.

PLUTO!!!

SO IT THAT MAN'S FAULT TOO?

Climate change is occurring, indeed. THERE IS NO ARGUMENT THERE. The ARGUMENT is whether it's we humans' fault or not!

I agree with Trump that man is NOT responsible for ANY climate change of any kind. Trump needs to make it CLEAR that the argument is about WHAT CAUSES IT, NOT THE FACT THAT IT EXISTS OR NOT!

Wow. Orwellian rhetoric. Don’t think the left doesn’t intend to create a gulag for those that disagree with the holy writ of climate change, abortion, trans acceptance etc.

From the piece: “And “lesser” effects are pervasive, too, and horrifying: small-particulate pollution causes dramatic drops in cognition, significant increases in the prevalence of mental illness, ...”

Who knew the effects of air pollution would, by a large margin, dis-proportionally affect the political left?!

I don’t think it’s denial, it’s understanding the reality of the costs. We can try and prevent global changes. We can spend trillions of tax dollars, yes trillions, and it won’t have any affect on the weather. That’s the fact.

These liberals, want a cut of those revenues and the power that goes with it.

Have you ever owned a piece of land in the country? You mow and till the soil, plant crops...then you don’t. You leave it dormant. In five years, mother nature has made it look vastly different. In 25 years, it’s a forest again.

It’s pure folly to think that man can control the weather and the climate.

Trump is a man of honor; as such he would not declare war on leftists brains, it would be dishonorable for POTUS to fight unarmed opponents.

MAGA!

So, this is what they are suffering from!?

So 200,000 preventable deaths?
How many preventable deaths from Opioid over doses?

There has been a rumor on the streets for several years now, that the Rothschild family are the originators of “Climate Change”...and that they paid millions to scientists to phony up temperature RESULTS!!!

Why?

To destroy capitalism.

Prepare us for a one world government.
