I left California too. Moved to NC. Mexicans live across the street and up the block from us, and there are a lot of Mexicans and Central Americans here. The invasion has been much more widespread than I knew before leaving CA.

That is absolutely the point. Endless talk and idle threats are just that. Inaction invites more of the same behavior.
It will take a little time to marshal the necessary forces along that long border. Trump needs to act on the logistics and command structure of that deployment without further delay. Putting off the inevitable is never a good thing.
