One of the wisest things I have ever heard at a bachelor party became known as “The Sammich Paradox”.

“You will be tempted to tell her ‘that was great, honey now go make me a sammich’, but do not. She will NEVER make you a sammich. If she can still walk to the kitchen, you don’t deserve a sammich, but if you have performed a way to become sammich worthy level, she won’t be able to get out of bed.”

Never saw the dude before or since, but 26 years later and I can remember it like yesterday.
