Hoohah. Oooh Rah, and all that stuff. (And that coming from a Navy guy).

C-17s and Hercs. Well, they weren't going to walk 1000 miles to the border...

The son of outrageously liberal relatives flies C130s for the USAF. Maybe he’s involved in this border protection activity. :)

If these troops are going to be successful in stopping these “Invasions”, they are going to have to do it on Mexican Soil. The U.S. should try and negotiate an agreement with Mexico for Joint Forces at least 25 Miles inside Mexico. In the absence of an agreement with Mexico, we should go it alone, as I don’t believe we can be effective and avoid U.S. Court Action against our policy trying to stop them from our side of the border. The Panama and Grenada Incursions offer examples of what we can do.

One good thing about the troop movement, is that it gives our forces increased practice in airlifting troops and supplies. Almost like a training deployment.

First Armored Division is stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso too. Just a ten minute drive down the freeway from the border.

My question is how many Hondurans will fit into a C-130?

At the very least it’s some good training.

Probably also got to dust off and update some old plans.

Oh and all of our tax dollars are paying for it.

I know there's too much gap between the ears to get the spark but how is it more or less of our tax dollars to have these troops on our southern border as opposed to them residing at say Ft Bragg? We are already paying to house, feed and train these troops so this is nothing more than a shift in locations/mission.

Leave the C-130s at the border to ship the mob back to where they came from.
