I practiced Primeary Care in a Central American country for over 4 years. I guarantee there is TB, HIV, LGV in that crowd and I wouldn’t be surprised to find Chagas, and Dengue fever not to mention malaria and Yellow Fever. New strains of hepatitis wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

It REALLY pissed me off several years ago when it was finally discovered that I had a TB exposure. Chest X-rays, 11 months of those goddamn pills that made my liver hurt.
Never went active, and I still get occasional skin tests to be sure. I've never been to a country that has it, so someone from one of those countries brought it here.
Saying what I really think about that would probably get me a timeout here.
