I always thought it was hilarious that Gillum claimed that “monkey up” was a sly “dog whistle” to tell the voters that Gillum was, in fact, a black man.

Because apparently nobody in the state could actually tell that for themselves, or ever listened to him for more than 3 minutes, since he seems to point out his race in everything he ever says.
