Yep, same reason they love illegals and anchor babies. This would get them the anchor baby vote 2 extra years.

I don’t think this can happen. It took an Amendment to change it from 21 to 18, This is will be a case going to the court.

Of course it can. You don't need a Constitutional amendment to lower the voting age.

The 26th Amendment did not lower the voting age to 18, it prohibited states from prohibiting anyone 18 or older from voting due to age. The Constitution doesn't prohibit states from setting a lower voting age. Before 1970, four states had voting ages under 21. In 1970, Congress lowered the voting age nationally to 18 with the Voting Rights Act extension, and the Supreme Court held that this was constitutional with regard to federal (but not state or local) elections in Oregon v. Mitchell. The 26th Amendment was then proposed and ratified in 1971.

Simple solution … they belong to no state therefore DC residents lose the right to vote for President if they do this. Their elector is rescinded.

They’ll vote about as often as 18 year olds do. Maybe less.

After snacking on some Tide Pod laundry detergent they could wash it down with Mountain Dew and head for the polls.

Where in that text does it say that a state must deny the right to vote to citizens under the age of 18?

See the emphasis in #22.
Punctuation matters.

The marks used to clarify meaning by indicating separation of words into sentences and clauses and phrases

It does not prohibit a state from setting a voting age of less than 18, it only states that citizens 18 and older cannot be denied the right to vote.

“More GOP votes ?”

No way. With the educational programming being done by the libs in our “so called” public school education it is just another way to pad the voting registration with either an un-knowledgeable or immature thinking brainwashed child whose life time has not supplied them with the experiences or practicalities important to decision making on a grand scale like a presidential decision.

Learning how to drive a car, which is the only adult thing assigned to them lawfully, they can do but you see with the statistics of the mortality rates of youth drivers in this country, and the world, how that is a failure in itself.

According to the CDC, among drivers between 15 and 20 years of age who were involved in fatal crashes in 2016, 32% were speeding at the time of the crash and 21% had been drinking. In 2016, young people ages 15-19 represented 6.5% of the U.S. population. However, they accounted for an estimated $13.6 billion (8.4%) of the total costs of motor vehicle injuries. This sound like they are mature enough to make decisions as a whole? And remember, this is not a selective process to “promote them to adulthood, it is blanket.

Are they ready to be drafted? To be held accountable as adults in court cases? That’s how 18 year-olds rate the privilege of voting.
