Tuesday Will Tell: Blue Wave or Red Tsunami? [Clarice's Pieces]
American Thinker ^ | November 4, 2018 | Clarice Feldman

The polls are swinging wildly and voter enthusiasm seems higher than usual for midterms in recent memory or maybe ever.

Vice President Mike Pence predicts the Republicans will hold both houses and I tend to agree with him. In fact, I have a months-old dinner bet riding on his prediction coming to pass.

It’s not only that, freed of some of the more restrictive regulations and with tax cuts, the economy is booming and unemployment low, it’s a psychological thing. People are more optimistic and bullish than they were when Obama was president. I read this to mean they are willing to give the president’s party credit for their gains and want them to continue.

Rasmussen weighs in on the situation with a word of caution for those predicting a blue wave.

Democrats hold just a three-point lead on the latest Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot which has a +/- 2 margin of error. Look for our final Generic Ballot Monday morning.

Just as in 2016, Democrats are more outspoken about how they’re going to vote in the upcoming elections than Republicans and unaffiliated voters are. Is it possible that another silent red wave is coming ?

It’s true that the major media is uniformly opposed to Trump and his party, but as Rasmussen also notes, they have less sway on voters than they would hope:

~snip~

Help me -- and the country -- go and vote for Republicans and keep the Trump America humming.

Beyond the obvious reasons why we would want the GOP to hold the House and the Senate, under such a scenario I would love to watch the MSM try to not talk about Trump as their frustrations continue from 2016.

If you think democrats are already certifiably insane after Hillary's 2016 election loss wait until Tuesday when republicans turn back their "Blue Wave" and retain control of the House and Senate!

"Just as in 2016, Democrats are more outspoken [??? emphasis added] about how they’re going to vote in the upcoming elections than Republicans and unaffiliated voters are."

Democrats are known to be more overtly disrespectful to people who disagree with what the misguided Democratic bullies (eg. Rep. Maxine Waters) have indoctrinated ordinary Democratic voters to think.

If I see that the Republicans are gaining in the Senate, and holding the house, I’m going to switch to CNN to see their meltdown.

I think the GOP goes to 54 in the Senate but I think the Dems could go 30+ in the House. In NY and NJ the Gop is going to lose at least 6 seats and I don’t see them picking up to counter that. Steyer and Soros and Bloomberg and even the Koch brothers are dumping billions for the Dems. And in NJ snd sewhere the Dems are running stealth candidates, pleasing to the eye of moderates. I think the only thing preventing Speaker Pelosi 2.0 is that a third of the House Demz revile her.

Ha! When that happens I believe there’s a good chance cnn will be down due to “technical difficulties.”

Yes, it should be entertaining. I’d put my money on gaining in Senate, hold the House, maybe even gain there too. Wouldn’t that be sweet? Wednesday will be interesting as they cry, riot, whatever. I don’t think they’ll be able to handle it.

Our philosophical statement of national independence--The Declaration of Independence-- identifies for us the foundation of our freedom and liberty. To the degree that we are less free than were those brave men and women of 1776 and 1787, we must seek a return to that foundation and Source of our liberty.

Winton Phipps and Orrin Hatch combined to identify that Source in a powerful song for this Sunday and for all time.

There doesn’t need to be a red tsunami to beat a blue wave. All that’s needed is support for a sitting president that is above average. (NOT ‘approval rating’. Support as in actually ‘voting’.)

Historical House loss is 23 seats vs. the sitting president. The Dems need to pick up 24 this time to get control.

Pres. Trump: Above average support or not?

Will be happy if I have to apologize but I don’t see the Red Wave Freepers here and the Hoft Family on GP say exists. Not a 2006 Blue Wave but enough I think, to take the House and maybe a few state capitals.

I’ve got to give some big credit here to Trump. He made a decision last year to pick between two nemisises, McConnell and the punk ass Ryno. He picked wisely. He gave mitch his due and he came through with the judge confirmations we needed. Meanwhile, Ryno was never going to change and he continued to do not a damn thing in his last six months except lob a few wrenches into the Trumpster’s machinery. The only sad thing I see from the Senate races is we in effect lose one to the equally repugnant Romnuts who will be a continuing thorn in Trumpster’s side as he quietly tries to make a run to challenge him in 2020. This guy is a snake pure and simple and much beyond just being a RINO.

I would love to see the GOP hold the house but with the number leaving together with the gimmedats looking to force their hands into everyone’s pockets, it will be tough. Pa is going to lose some GOP talent due to the redistricting that went on pushed by the demorats. The only silver lining there is most of the other crap leaving from the GOP side of the aisle are RINOs anyway or anti trump so we lose almost nothing. Losing the Senate would be catastrophic so again props to Trump.

End of the day we pick up 2-4 in Senate and lose probably 30-35 in house.Just like in 76 and 78 after the big dems wins, the country had enough and whisked a bunch of those a holes out of office. Reagan came in 80 and the rest is history.
