Congressman Ron DeSantis won the Florida's governor's race tonight with 49.9 percent of the vote, defeating his progressive opponent Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum in one of the mostly closely watched races in the country. Despite the blue wave of support that showed up for Gillum and across the country, the Trump-backed former prosecutor won of men and older voters, continuing a two-decade-long legacy of Republican governors in the Sunshine State.

With that margin Democrats will call for a recount until they can find enough lost ballots.

But, in a sobering thought, millions thought a corrupt socialist would make a good chief executive of a prosperous state.

This ONE race may preserve a Trump re-election in 2020, due to the THREE FL supreme court vacancies the next gov will appoint, who will decide redistricting. Gollum promised to transform the state. DeSantis will leave it alone. BIG win for Trump.

What is shocking is that Gillum was in the contest at all, let alone garnered so many votes. With 1.5 million fellons due to be added plus the flood of Puerto Ricans, this is the last hurrah for Florifornia.
To: relictele
If Gillum were White, he would have lost by 20%. Don’t discount that factor.
To: Robert DeLong
I didn’t think Desantis was a good candidate, I thought he ran a lousy campaign. But the lord gave us Gillum to run against....
