Astorino had zero chance. Cuomo has that state locked up, rural upstate can’t overcome New York and the welfare cities in upstate. The numbers are not there. Its unfortunate.

I like Whitaker personally, but I have zero issues with Christie. Christie gets a bad rep here because of that picture, who cares?
A lot of people care about that pic because it shows the lack of character of Christie. You want to welcome the President when he comes to your state after a disaster, but not hang on him like a lovesick puppy. And a lot of us in New York care that Christie did zip to help Astorino regardless of whether the People’s Republic of New York badly needs its own electoral college. I guess we’re just on opposite sides when it comes to Christie.
