The video appears to show two students bickering while standing close to the teacher, and one student backs away while the other hits the teacher. The teacher recoils and the student who hit her leaves the classroom. She doesn’t retaliate, but follows him out the door.
City Public Schools spokeswoman Edie House Foster says in a statement that the student struck the teacher following a verbal exchange. She says administrators are investigating and will apply disciplinary action in accordance with the school system’s code of conduct.

Seeing that entire exchange, I can only say, I would rather not.
In the old days, they probably would have realized that a student like that probably had no business being in school to begin with by the time they were ten or twelve years old, so it was then time to put them in the factory or on the farm and that was it.
The zookeepers should never allow him back.
The way the teacher keeps talking to the thug while following to the door says to me this is typical behavior. There is no surprise on the part of the teacher.
Enabling, we call it. Black woman are largely (no pun intended) the ones raising these thugs.
Assault and battery = Jail

ANIMALS and ENABLERS!!! She ENABLED that THUG!! She probably has a son that has done this to her also.....99% of people would have been STUNNED and would have reacted TOTALLY differently!
There's part of the problem.

In the old days (like when I was in high school in the 50’s) the kid would have wound up hospitalized.

When I was in high school in the 1960s, there was an assistant principal, a WWII vet probably in his mid-to-late 40s who was about 6’3” and +200 lbs. His policy was that anyone who wanted to fight in school had to fight him first. I don’t remember seeing, or even hearing about, any fights in high school.
Why the big surprise at actions like this. The alleged black leaders in the country have been encouraging this since Obama said I don’t have all the facts but the police (white ones) acted stupidly.
Will not happen. Years ago a “student” pulled a knife on my wife while in class. Backed her in a corner while waving the blade at her. The administration suspended the perp for the entire rest of the day.
At least he did not do a mass shooting at the school.
He must have been raised to have more self-control than the mass shooters.
A few weeks back we learned some freepers believe that a "verbal exchange" is reason for a teacher to repeatedly hit a student.
Now we will see if they believe that a "verbal exchange" is reason enough for a student to hit a teacher.
In the modern days (now), this teenage thug is on track for jail and/or prison, so she will likely end up out of the school system or out of civilized society at some point. Let’s hope it happens over property theft or something like that rather than assault on another person or worse.
