These activities have been tolerated because of the clever choice of the “anti-fascist” theme when in fact the real theme is pro-communist or globalist, I fail to see much difference at this point. It used to be illegal to be a communist and certainly working for the aims of the USSR or Red China would (and still are in the latter case) illegal, but working for “globalism” seems to be treated differently, as just a political choice protected by the first amendment.
Perhaps a rethink of that tolerance is needed, if globalism is in fact an open effort to force the U.S. government to subordinate itself to the United Nations as the proxy world government desired by globalists. I would see this as sedition, but I think it needs to be fully debated in the congress with appropriate legislation, as right now public opinion is not very unified against globalism (it is the default position of the political right, even there, the more moderate strain of the GOP are mildly to enthusiastically globalist too).
I see this as a necessary project to maintain real national sovereignty in all western countries. The actual effect of globalism, whether it is deliberate or accidental, is to make China dominant (since they are given a pass on meeting globalist targets in all things) and to excuse the bad behaviour of various rogue states among which you can now include South Africa.
In other words, globalism is just about the exact opposite of the freedom and liberty ideal that is supposed to guide American foreign policy, and is just a cover for various schemes to destroy our economic prosperity and our personal liberties. On that basis, it is just as evil as either communism or the fascism it claims to be fighting.
The few actual fascists who exist are just useful props for this much larger and more sinister group, who need a few useful idiots to shine a spotlight on. In Canada, there were so few of them in the 1990s that the government actually organized a neo-Nazi front group in Toronto to bring them out of their basements. Then of course they rounded them up to show the dangers of fascism. It was almost instantly exposed as a fraud and a bad joke, but the government organizer has never been held totally responsible for this outrage.
