Exactly correct and a way to defraud the voter. In this case, assume that the voter marked for Desantis and then an unobserved malicious person with access to that ballot ADDS a mark for Gillum. That loses a Desantis vote as an over-vote and this is probably the easiest of the numerous ways to change an election outcome.

I’d think that the Federal government can find a way to make these requirements in federal elections. State elections would be different and they can do those any way they want.
Last week, the stupid moronic electorate in Maryland actually voted overwhelmingly to allow same day voter registration. I predict that within two election cycles there will not be one Republican in any statewide office.
November 29 will be the ninth anniversary of my moving to this cesspool. I really like my job and have made some good friends, but honestly, the only thing keeping me here is a youth ministry I got started at my church and that we’re deeply involved with. Kids are all gone, most live out of state anyway so we need to make a plan to ditch this zoo.

Speaking of the voting machine failures, I’d think that a small percentage of the machines would be required for the recount. There should be many spares if one fails.
Vote early, then show up at polls on election day and get a provisional ballot. That’s how it is done folks.
It is all about the theory that everyone should vote and this makes it easier.
Voting should be for people who understand what is going on and care enough to do it.

1-Have the most Reps for your State so your State’s one vote is your Party
2-Create enough election night chaos as possible

I totally agree. I've been one of those mail-in voters for some years. It was a nice convenience, but no more. I will notify the Registrar of Voters in my district to change from Mail-in to location poll voting. For those who don't have the time, I read you can bring in your Mail-in and hand it to the Poll people and they will let you vote on site.However, I suggest you insist they tear it up in while you watch.
If there were ever a Federal law that needs addressing, it is universal voting regulations. Yes, I know the Constitution gives the States the authority regarding policy and regulations for their elections. Not sure if it needs an Amendment ... maybe just a Congressional law in the US Code. Anyone know?
Also, "absentee ballots" should only apply to those who are out of country are can prove they are infirmed. And what exactly is a "provisional ballot"?
Bottom line, I'm going down to the local Polling place like I used to. This fraudulent and incompetence would disappear if we had a uniform policy that required voters physically vote at their local voting places.
PLUS, WE NEED A UNIFORM BALLOT SYSTEM. I've read that the corrupt SOE (Brenda Snipes) purposely designed Broward County's ballots for ambiguity. What's this crap about under and over ballots? If the voter filled in 2 different places for the same candidate, throw it out. If they didn't fill in any space for a candidate, so what? Count the rest of their ballot.

I say SAVE those voter registration records-—to prosecute the counties that allowed the fraud.
IMHO I disagree. Playing the buffoon is a time honored tactic.
What the judge really needs is a handwriting sample from Snipes and her esteemed staff.
Some other ideas for consideration: Votes not accepted for final statewide count if the tally exceeds the total number of registered voters for a given county. Votes not resolved by end of voting are deemed invalid, unless they are military ballots which could not be delivered in time per Post Office affidavit. Stop the “found ballot box” syndrome by requiring ballot boxes be sealed tamper-proof, seal dated, signed by 2 representatives, one from each major party, numbered with tamper-proof numbers that have to be reported by end of election date.
It is intended to be sure that no voter is disenfranchised due to a clerical error by the municipality. A couple of voters who have voted in the district I work for years, personally known to me and other officials, were missing from the poll books this cycle for reasons unknown. We issued them provisionals. Another had moved from one building to another in the same apartment complex and not filed a change of address.
Those are some of the situations provisionals are intended to cover.
