[N]o elected official in the country has more aggressively sought to limit free speech rights than Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D., N.Y.). Now he will have to answer for it in court.
...
In May this column described how Mr. Cuomo was using the states financial regulatory agency to intimidate insurance companies, banks and other firms into turning down business with the NRA. The gun-rights group sued Mr. Cuomo after he ordered the states Department of Financial Services to tell the firms it oversees to review any relationships they may have with the National Rifle Association and other similar organizations. Upon this review, the companies are encouraged to consider whether such ties harm their corporate reputations and jeopardize public safety.
The same day as Mr. Cuomos announcement, New Yorks chief financial regulator Ms. Vullo sent out a bulletin urging companies to manage their reputational risks related to organizations like the NRA. She claimed that in this area society, as a whole, has a responsibility to act and is no longer willing to stand by and wait and witness more tragedies caused by gun violence, but instead is demanding change now. Ms. Vullo and her agency have also been sued by the NRA.
In a single stroke, Mr. Cuomo was not just attacking cherished rights described in the Constitutions first two amendments; he was simultaneously corrupting financial regulation. Theoretically, Ms. Vullos job is to ensure the soundness of the firms under her supervision, and to protect customers against fraudnot to enforce a political agenda and deem any business the governor dislikes a reputational risk. The tenth anniversary of the 2008 panic, which inspired the creation of Ms. Vullos agency, is a reminder of the consequences when regulators fail to focus on their core missions.

I don’t own a gun. But I’m joining the NRA. Most people own a gun. Hillary Clinton may not own a gun, but her guards and the people who carry out her extracurricular instructions do. Death to tyrants, progressive or otherwise
“Lock them up, lock them up!”
Cuomo’s and Vullo’s behavior is the same kind of behavior that has delivered Venezuela to where it is today. People like these two always believe that their end justifies the means. John Adams said that our form of government was intended solely for a moral people. It won’t work for any other. We must begin with moral leaders. Cuomo and Vullo fail to qualify.
“I dont own a gun. “
Get one.
Exactly. This is a direct attack on the First and Second Amendments.
Cuomo was overwhelmingly re-elected.
Yep. He is just a repugnant, slimy piece of fecal matter.
Also Cuomo’s butt boy, fmr NY AG Eric Sneiderman, yet ANOTHER gun grabbing hypocrite who behaves badly. He resigned in record time after credible allegations of sex abuse came to light. Seems he gets off on beating his mistresses senseless. Including one who came over from Senegal who he would hurl racial insults and while bitch-slapping her around. What a helluva way to get a “rise in the Levis”. And it’s POS’s like this who the libs think should be in judgement as to who’s mentally fit to be trusted with firearms.
Nail his ass to the wall!!
Well done. Mr Grant would be proud.
I can only reply:
Help Stop the Homo,
Vote Against Cuomo!
“Death to tyrants”
`Sic semper tyrannis’ (motto of the Commonwealth of Virginia) ... something LibSoc Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam should consider as a warning against what he’s turning Virginia into.
” Cuomo was overwhelmingly re-elected.”
Primarily by the overwhelmingly liberal City of New York:
