Expect a Kemp-Abrams 2022 rematch.
Georgia’s demographics are NOT like the 1990s or even 2000s Georgia.
That Abrams got so close to winning shows that Georgia GOP needs to appeal to black voters and Asian voters more.
Kemp needs to heal the state in January, roll his sleeves and get to work. NOW.
Appealing to black voters is useless against black Democrat candidates. I’m sure they voted at least 95% for her and will continue to do so. The only way they would vote for someone other than a black Democrat would be if Martin Luther King came back to life and ran as a Republican. Even then, it would probably be close.
Horsecrap. Explain to me what the GOP can do to win Blacks? How about taking care of the White working class? The GOP can pander all day long, but until Black folks stop wanting freebies from the Government, they won’t vote R. Again, not talking about all Black folks but when 90 plus % vote D, it’s a majority.
And how do you do that?
And I hope the GOP doesn’t try the same failed approach of the past, where they foolishly try to present themselves as “moderate” or “democrat lite.” That never works, because anyone looking to vote for a democrat would rather vote for a real one than a fake, “moderate” Republican version.
What they need to do is take Trump’s approach and focus on economic policies that will deliver real benefits to everyday people. Like Trump, they also need to be unwavering in opposing illegal immigration, and they need to grow spines and fight back unapologetically against the SJW nonsense. All three of those issues, the economy, illegal immigration, and out of control political correctness, are winners with minority voters (and with most other people as well).
