Who speaks that way? .... been walking a month and a weeK?

Can’t he add or count. Instead of I’ve been walking for 35 days or 5 weeks....

Lopez probably hitch-hiked for a month and walked about a week which would explain his awkward syntax. But it is a Big Deal to travel on foot, cross-continent, just like Forrest Gump.

Carlos deserves a T-shirt for his efforts.

“I walked all the way to Tijuana and all I got was this Lousy tee-shirt from U.S. BP!”

Whose feeding his pregnant wife and 6 kids in Honduras while he marches about waving a white flag? Just who has been keeping the little womens safe while 10,000 menfolk split indefinitely?

If it is so violent and dangerous in C. A., why march off and abandon those whom are most vulnerable?

This abandoning the family to earn a living has grossly eroded the once traditional Spanish- Mexican family unit. For over fifty years, villages in Mexico have been deserted of fathers. In their absence, the families have deteriorated greatly and the sons have gone rogue. It certainly is a huge contributing factor to the growing immorality and lawlessness conquering Mexico. (end rant)

I think you are bringing an insight into a hidden problem that will affect generations. It is like discovering a genetic mutation on the family culture. The abandoning of families by the men lured by fortunes gained in the United States has dangerous problems. Whether it the DemonRATs cashing in on new voters or greedy companies exploiting workers with low wages and under-the-table compensation, there is plenty of aiding and abetting to throw in the mix. What is really the elephant in the room, is the Mexican Government allowing the flow from its southern borders through the country and over our border.

When I visited Nogales, Mexico, with my family, I had to pack all of our birth certificates to prove our identities for the return across the border. Imagine losing that important envelope?

Entry into Mexico was just a walk from the parking lot in the U.S. across the border. Our return was a hour-long line in hot temperatures. My 16-year-old daughter got so hot, she fainted at the customs desk while they were looking at her birth certificate. I ask, why not that scrutiny at their southern border?
