When (not if) the next Democrat administration rolls this out, I wonder if they’ll just weaponize Google and Amazon’s existing systems, or build out one of their own.

I like your term, “Surveillance Capitalists.” Combined with the NDAA, and SJW’s, you are right.
China imposes it’s penalties on travel, etc.
Facebook, Google, and the SJW’s impose their social credit penalties by things like shadow banning, banning, demonetizing, and making it impossible to get or hold an executive level job if you are publicly conservative.

There's a line in Terry Gilliam's movie from the 80s "Brazil" about a dystopian future state with an all powerful bureaucracy where a wrongfully accused man is being interrogated in a torture chamber and one of the guards says "Don't fight it son. Confess...QUICKLY. If you hold out too long you could jeopardize your credit rating..."
It was satire back then. Now?

Surveillance Capitalism (or #SurveillanceCapitalism) is the standard term for these deals where "you're not the buyer or the seller, you're the product being sold."

You could accept the free gift of the blood of Jesus Christ in exchange for your sins and never have to worry about such silly stuff ever again!
