UPDATE: A tweet posted by Unified Police Department identified the deceased suspect as Felix Anthony Calata, 32, of West Valley City.
UPD is not releasing any additional information at this time.
SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah -- A South Salt Lake Police officer died Saturday night after police said he was purposely hit by a car driven by suspects fleeing an apparent burglary.
South Salt Lake Police identified the officer as 31-year old Officer David Romrell. Officer Romrell was a Marine Corps veteran, husband and had recently become a father.

Sounds like the dead perp also killed someone else with his motor vehicle earlier this year. Not sure of his immigration status.

If the media isn’t saying, the perp is likely an illegal, and IF so, should have been deported after the first incident.

Two “hispanic” suspects. if illegal the local media will try to hide it for as long as possible. Sanctuary city in a sanctuary state. In the minds of liberals the death of the Officer/Veteran is a small price to pay for “diversity”.
