You really would think some bright individual out there would listen to the disclaimers in the TV ads for antidepressants and other psychotropic drugs-every one lists suicidal thoughts/ideation as a side effect-duh! I’m not an expert and I don’t play one on TV, but I can see that cause and effect thing...
And why is no one talking about personal responsibility? If you are an adult, you are responsible for your choices-including addiction-not government, doctors or anyone else-just say “no” to all the crap...
As a case manager I saw from day one that my clients were being loaded up with drugs to a dangerous level-and gleefully banging workers comp carriers for the cost-they did not give a flying f*** about the injured client’s mental or physical health. Plenty of clients took and even dealt street drugs when the scrips for legal ones were cut off-they ended up in rehab-paid for by workers comp-or in prison-not paid by comp-this has been ignored by the very agencies screaming about it now for years...
I’ll stick to the natural, no processed food paleo diet,staying totally drug free, a physical job and working out 3x per week I’ve followed that all my life and I like it-it works for me, just like it does for the rest of my family-we do not have fat family members or constantly sick ones. When God says my number is up, then it is up, and that is fine by me, whether it is next year or 30 years-I’m enjoying it drug and frankenfood food free in any case...
The rise in obesity due to people eating massive amounts of sugar, bread, pasta made from bleached wheat and other non-natural carbs is driving obesity related death through the ceiling and those people do not live a long time-but I don’t see that mentioned in the article-two of my friends and my cub’s biological father died in their late 60’s last year-all from morbid obesity...
All the Orcas I’ve met are taking multiple prescription drugs for related ailments, including psychotropics, wearing CPAP gear every night, whining about being offended when people stare at them lumbering down a grocery aisle on foot or on a motorized cart-all while eating up to 10,000 calories of fast food and other processed garbage every day-you could feed a family of 4-5 healthy, fresh food each day with the same amount of calories-and they wouldn’t be depressed/anxious or sick all the time either...
