That number is more of a max than an average.
Given that many people live to be 90 to 100 it may seem to be wrong. But, over and over I am hearing and reading from people who are very very old and loathe life. It shows that the bible number still holds. So some people hang on to life into their 80's and 90's but all fun is gone.

Each to his own, of course -- but I personally do not care much for modern medicine. I expect to have a treatable health issue at some point past age 65, and I'm not at all sure that I will treat it. I don't why I should. It's just vanity to try to live forever. But that's my opinion.
That I can believe, I’m 71 now and life is stressful because of everything going on. It didn’t bother me near as much when I was younger.
