IDK how “impressed “ they are, but I hear that Buick is a leading brand in China, the prestige nameplate in fact.

the reduction of tariffs is supposed to make US autos ‘competitive’ with other foreign manufacturers.
I don’t think the Chinese are that ‘impressed’ with US autos.

In fact, thy would love to get US-made big trucks and SUVs which is what the 40% tariffs were intended to combat. So I think this will actually open a market for US vehicles. Just in time to help combat global cooling!!

"The Chinese are impressed with Buick."

I read sometime back that Buick is the most popular car in China. Also, that the Chevy Camaro is/was the most popular car in Moscow.

As with everything, the devil is in the details. Exactly how much did China agree to reduce tariffs on US Auto’s?

General Motor's Buick brand is YUUUGE in China. Seriously. The Chinese love Buick's for some reason.

Heck - had enough folks here with bile about his using tariffs to bring other nations into accord....they are part of the problem...shortsighted and more concerned that their next car might cost $100 more than doing what it takes to make things right....

I don’t think so. We need to raise the tariffs across the board on the gooks.

Has it always been that high?

Blame Goldman Sachs, who run the US economy, and let them get away with murder

Tariffs are good period. The USA became an industrial power house when tariffs funded the US government.
