You’re not far off the truth. I work at a university, and I’ve seen some shady stuff in regards to AA and the students it favors.

The health care industrial complex do prevent people from receiving life saving care and medications and cost is the only factor.
there are people who cannot afford the insulin they need to keep them alive, there are mentally ill who cannot afford their medications, and there are financial manipulations in the pharma industry that sicken anyone who works with ill people.
The healthcare-insurance-government industrial complex sets and changes price points and access. Therefore unlike Canada and parts of Europe, where people have to wait for care (an death panel of its own) they do not qualify to receive care because they cannot afford it.
For every jar you see at the local store collecting money for a local resident’s transplant, cancer treatment, dialysis costs, there are many many others who have no options.
