I agree with you and Tucker. I support Trump, but his tweets and bragging are going to cost him votes—lots of votes. I hear it all the time. “Trump is a pompous ass!” Most of us FReepers probably look past Trump’s offputting personality and see his accomplishments, but you have to appeal to more than your base to win elections.
Bottom line: Trump would be wise to listen to Tucker’s advice, but it seems unlikely Trump will.
I disagree. If Trump were a normal politician you would be correct, he should trim his sales not to antagonize one group or another.
In Trump’s case I disagree. POTUS is the original WYSIWYG
He tries to be a bit gentler for people who are not used to the battlefield but that is about it.
If people care more about appearance than results, if they judge by propriety not forthrightness they will never get Trump & they don’t understand the dynamics of American exceptionalism or the factions that have been sucking her dry and betraying her sovereignty. Such people need to get over themselves and think about what is good for the Country. They need to ask themselves whether POTUS is telling the truth about his accomplishments and if anyone else would tell that truth. They need to ask themselves if anyone else would have been able to stand firm and fight for our Country as he has.
They need to understand that we are at war and America can be defeated while people quibble about superficial things.
Very good and valid points. You are correct, we see past it but we are an extreme small group of people vs the greater voting whole
