BENIN CITY, Nigeria Jude Ikuenobe sensed the car following him before he saw it. Heart pounding, he turned around. Under the Libyan desert sun, the highway stretching behind him was so hot it shimmered in the distance. Nobodys there, he tried to reassure himself for the tenth time since he had stepped out a few minutes earlier in search of water, along with three of his friends. The sandy side streets were deserted, every shop and café shuttered. It was a Friday afternoon, which meant even the armed militias who ruled Sabha, a sprawling oasis city 480 miles inland from the coastal capital, had filed to mosques for the most important weekly prayers. Then came the sound again the unmistakable purr of an engine. Wordlessly, all four men scattered. Ikuenobe felt like he was running through quicksand. As the car sped closer, he knew a single misstep could mean being gunned down and dying anonymously in the street.
He glanced over his shoulder, and terror seized him: A white 4x4 with tinted windows was heading straight at him. All the warnings hed heard flashed through his mind. In Sabha, every black man is a target. We black in Libya were money to Arabs. The minute they get us, they can sell us. If they are coming, just run. Run for your life. Ikuenobe ran, and kept running even as there was a screech of tires, the smell of burning rubber, and a volley of gunshots. He kept running as one of his friends hit the ground with a thud. He ran until his legs gave way in an unpaved alleyway, and he collapsed onto the sandy ground, drenched in fear and sweat....
At least he was alive none of his friends had made it back at all.

A good looking woman can have me for free.
I hear ya.
Close.
McCain, Graham, and Rubio
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for remembering the Bush League Republicans responsible for making this a bipartisan disaster.
While that’s a fair comment based on their registration, it’s clear that they were simply pushing Leftist policy here.
They were a perfect example of what a RINO was/is.
Graham has seemed to come back home, now that McCain isn’t around to blackmail him any longer. (or whatever type of force he was using to corrupt him)
Graham hasn’t changed at all, don’t let him fool you, he’s running for re-election doing the McCain two-step.
Sounding conservative for two years and acting like an amnesty whore for four.
Flimsey Grahamnesty is a chameleon. I mistakenly voted for him in 2002 and have voted against him ever since.
“How do you in South Carolina keep reelecting him!!?” Well, it’s simple; we have open primaries which allow Democrats to vote for the Republican of their choice, while a raft of conservatives running against him cancel each other out.
He is a political whore as you say. We are completely unrepresented in the Palmetto State.
Lamprey lips...I think that’s one of those salt sucking vampires I saw on Star Trek.
...probably spent some time pricing kids.
Can one get an inspection and an appraisal to be sure one isn’t overpaying?
Could be. I don’t know when he’s up again.
McCain would only do it for about a year, and sometimes not even that.
Man the people of Arizona who voted for him were idiots.
He’s up in 2020 and knows his amnesty votes are unpopular.
I honestly think McCain owned him for some reason. McCain was also a driving force behind Rubio.
Note how the three of them advocated for funding and arming the Muslim Brotherhood and ‘the good’ al Qaeda.
McCain was tied at the hip with Hillary and Soros on that.
This turned out to be a very ugly group, trashing Trump at will.
Graham has actually defended Trump in the last months. I can see reason to believe that was because he’s fighting for re-election.
We’ll see how it goes after January 2021.
