So the President should just ignore the law and the Constitution and wait for the courts to sort it out? That's no way to run a constitutional republic.

Bush took this approach when he signed McCain-Feingold even though he knew it was unconstitutional. And, lo and behold, the Supreme Court let it stand.

If we allow our elected officials to feel at liberty to ignore the Constitution, then it is just a piece of paper.

Ohhhhh really!! Somebody should tell the liberal activist judges who continually ignore the US Constitution and simply rule based on what they personally want and desire instead.
