1. Judge Sullivan is a moron who never should have graduated from law school. I'm not even a lawyer and I know that treason would not be an applicable charge even if Flynn sold out the U.S. on behalf of Turkey.
2. Judge Sullivan is working to string this process along until Flynn's legal team is confident enough to not only withdraw Flynn's guilty plea, but mount a legal challenge that would end up getting Mueller's team sanctioned for prosecutorial misconduct.

Sullivan couldn’t get Flynn to withdraw his plea even by hinting he would go to prison for treason but he finally got him to postpone on the hopes Flynn and his attys will finally withdraw the plea. Sullivan will dismiss the case once he does it.

Judge Sullivan scared Flynn with his earlier "treason" accusation. And it worked.
If Flynn would withdraw his guilty plea, then the case would have to go to trial. And maybe Flynn just can’t afford to go through that.
