The judge was giving all the signs that he was going to sentence Flynn to prison time. Gave him a chance to postpone to maximize his cooperation.

I started today being hopeful that this charade would begin to unravel. Wth?!
It’s obvious that, based on how things today stand, the judge was going to sentence Flynn to jail time. Flynn had no choice but to accept the 90 day delay.
The judge is a queer. Had a live-in boyfriend.
It was Flynn’s lawyers that asked for a delay once they realized what the judge is getting at.
Is it possible Flynn’s attorneys did not advise him of the possibility of terminal sanctions, which is what Justice Sullivan is seemingly leading to?

Nope. The judge tried several times to get Flynn to withdraw his plea but Flynn refused so the judge finally got him to postpone the sentencing on the hopes Flynn will finally grew to withdraw the plea. The judge clearly does not think Flynn guilty of the charge. Flynn doesn’t want to be charged with other offenses, or have his son charged, so he is willing to be sentenced on this charge which everyone knows he is not guilty of. The judge put the case off in the hopes Flynn will change his mind.
I feel like I’m watching a 3-Way tennis match, from Flynn’s team, to Mueller, to the Judge.
Other terms could be
A. Hot Potato
B. Monkey In The Middle (but who’s The Monkey?)
There are people, here on FR who seem to think Flynn is getting just what he deserves and that the tactics used are just fine and dandy.
Any idiot can see he was completely and deliberately set up with a charge of lying to investigators. That is what this entire plea was about, lying to investigators...this after:

Flynn may be no prize, he may be a jerk in his personal dealings, but for Freepers to say he had this coming is unbelievable. I had no idea we had this number of tyrannical police state advocates here on this forum.

He's a dumbass, then. Mueller and gang are going to continue with unfettered charges regardless of the outcome of this trial. The whole point is to keep the "criminal" focus on Trump, even if indirectly, until he is out of office.
While Trump remains POTUS, they will do everything they can (even illegally) to neuter Trump. Based on Trump's reversal on shutting down the government over the wall, they have succeeded, and the DEMs aren't even in control of the House yet. I weep for this country, at least what remains of it.
In case you didn’t notice, Flynn has declined every opportunity to blame others or take an “out” to lessen his personal risk, so your speculation that he will do so now is pretty absurd.
Or that Flynn wants to be damaged so he will have standing in a future suit on civil rights violations, maybe?
Flynn ratified his plea which could be used as a defense if he pursues a civil case. But IANAL (I Am Not A Lawyer), and am aware of a recent case where appellate judges state that illegal acts are not wrongful (no dissent). So when courts change the meaning of words on you, anything can happen.

Also....the Judge has now apologized for his (unbelievable) statement, to Gen Flynn.
If he gets a guilty plea (even with prison), Trump pardons him and releases documents proving his innocence. Then Flynn is immune from prosecution.
