Because a big chunk of DC republicans is made up of uniparty people like Corker, Flake, Rubio, Burr, Collins, etc.

With trouble democrats circle the wagons, republicans circle the firing squad.

Because each of them has his/her nose so far up their financial benefactors you know what, that they can’t communicate with each other.
The democrats are all about identity politics and “group think”.
They are socialists.
The Republicans are all about individuals and individual rights.
Trying to get republicans to “agree” on anything
is as futile as trying to herd a bunch of cats.
