He's not an expert on climate. It looks like he hosts tours in the Far North and makes films and educational materials based on his travels. He may talk a lot about climate change to the tourists, but it looks like he's trying make a buck and pad his resume.
Long distance psychoanalysis (which is worth nothing): He's a Indiana Jones or Steve Irwin or Bear Grylls wanna be who can't stand not being in control and looked up to when he gets home.
