No. Trump played it perfectly. It showed Romney up to be an opportunistic stooge. The picture alone says it all. Priceless!
As for how Trump treats Romney now, he has to be treated civilly in public, with the hard actions coming behind the scenes. Trump wins this round as he responds to an unprovoked attack on day one with a response, but also a mature suggestion for a rapport and cooperation for the true common good.
