The Dems need govt for their income and Repubs don’t. The pressure is going to get intense for Dingbat Pelosi.

Without paychecks there is no checkoff for union dues.

I can't determine where the most pressure will fall. Beltway employees (d's)on paid vacation will began squawking about no checks after a couple weeks and exponentially every 2 weeks thereafter.

On the other side, social security checks will cause lots of heartburn for everyone and the calls to end it will be loud and strong.

Dems can't fund the wall or they lose their future voting base. Trump must build it or lose his base and the 2020 re-elect.

It's a 'fight-to-the-death' battle, which DJT is best equipped to win if it's up to him and him only. Chicken wing rino's lack the same resolve.

I don't see a solution other than declaring a national emergency and building the wall. Ideally, immediately after DJT accepts the 1.6B offered by dems.

I wonder if DJT could get away with offering a compromise. What say you ?

Steel slat fence in much of San Diego, Calexico, Yuma, El Paso, and extreme Southern Texas to the Gulf.

Less elaborate around Big Bend, Arizona, New Mexico, and east of El Paso down to Big Bend. Less elaborate might be 2 layers of strong fencing, with a road and concertina wire in between. Such would be much less expensive and certainly slow any traffic. DJT could use the money dems are willing to give to monitor the weakest points.

If dems accepted this approach it would satisfy me for now and award good will for DJT as willing to work to solve the issue and get social security checks flowing, garbage picked up, etc.

Chances are dems would not accept it, which would open the gates for DJT to proceed however he wished, including declaration of a national emergency, claiming dems have proven they don't care about solving the problem, so I will.
