MSNBC guest Mark Thompson thinks Trump supporters are "gullible" and "acting against their own interest." Right. Because if you weren't so clueless, you'd be a huge Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fan, eagerly awaiting the coming socialist nirvana.
Appearing on Ari Melber's MSNBC show Monday evening, Thompson, host of a progressive talk show on Sirius radio, said that in his Oval Office address tomorrow, President Trump is seeking to address:
"The very, still, gullible base, that he intends to distract . . . His base is willing to be gullible . . . We look what's happening with the farmers, they're already affected by the tariffs, but yet these are some people that still support him, even through the shutdown. It's again, people acting against their own interest."

They’ve tried everything else to change our minds on Trump.. and nothing has worked. They are not smart enough to know they are wrong and shaming us... making us too dumb to understand... doesn’t work either... we are just too smart for them.. and we do not follow the piper on every whim, into their oblivion of ignorance.

Has anyone else noticed that none of these infantile, hair-pulling sissies will ever leave their liberal nests in DC and NYC to come to the “Red States” and take what’s coming to them? It’s downright shameful that they run their petulant mouths, while hiding behind their mother’s skirts like emasculated Chihuahuas.
My interests when I vote is a limited federal government which follows the principles the Constitution was based on and lots of freedom to follow my own interests in my life. Everyone has different personal interests which a single government cannot cater to (money, vacations, cars, free time, retirement savings, etc) but if we are allowed we can each choose to work more, or get education/training for a better job, or slack off, or whatever is “best” for us.
With that limited government, I can take care of my interests with respect to family, finances, business, etc.
If I were interested in “free stuff” from an unlimited government, then I have been voting “against my interests”. Lefties who have no principles or who have “big government” principles and want to be taken care of and have their life dictated to them can’t understand people having different personal interests/goals so they keep saying stupid stuff about people they disagree with.

I think there is an echo here of the old Marxist rant against "traitors to their class".
If you worked for a living (and who doesn't?) then you belonged to the Proletariat and you had an obligation to support the great Socialist revolution. If you opposed the Revolution, you were a traitor to your class -- which is to say, you were acting against your own interests.
Maybe he should donate 90 percent of his pay to the government.
My answer to that would be “What did your mama name you, asshole???”
