And they don’t charge extra when you step out and step into a load on the street, what a bargain

It still looks like ignorant journalism to me. A cup is 8 ounces. Two cups or 1/2 quart is 16 ounces. They cannot make up new terms.

You are using standard measuring cup rules-——coffee often comes in small, medium or large yet is still considered a “cup of coffee”.

Wouldn’t bother me. Don’t ever plan on visiting Feces Frisco.

That works out to about $21.25 for a 16-ounce cup!

There are 8 ounces in a cup, by definition. 16 ounces is two cups in a single container, AKA, a pint.

So the hotel is charging $10.13 per cup, expensive, but not outrageous for a high priced hotel in SF.

South American hellhole

I've been to Honduras many times and driven thru small villages and saw no poop in the streets.

IN fact, those villages with dirt streets are typically cleaner than our local parks at the end of the day where people leave their crap around the picnic tables and trash cans.......

A cup is 8 fluid ounces. 16 fluid ounces is a pint.

“A cup is 8 fluid ounces. 16 fluid ounces is a pint.”

Everyone knows that as far as standard measurements go but a 16 ounce cup of coffee is stil considered a “cup of coffee”.

About 15 years ago I was staying at a major Hotel chain overnight on business in Syracuse New York. While I was eating breakfast in the hotel cafe a hostess came by with a carafe of orange juice and asked if I’d like some. I said yes and she filled one of those dixie cup sized juice glasses on my table. Nothing was mentioned about it costing and I thought it came with the meal. Later she came by again and asked if I’d like another and I said yes. When my bill came I discovered I was charged 6 bucks for each of those glasses. I didn’t complain at the time because the company was paying, but I learned a valuable lesson. Always ask.

You are factually correct, of course. But please allow me to quote our new esteemed Speaker of the House: ‘I reject your facts’

Wow...in Syracuse?? I thought they had to pay YOU to stay there!

(For the record, I used to live near there and they would have to pay me to go back)

You're right about the people. I went too far with my comparison. I should have said SF and CA are growing larger numbers of 'elites' and increasing numbers of poor... All while decimating their middle classes. That's more of a South American pattern.

As far as the people are concerned there's no comparison... I was just flat out wrong.

I worked in China 40 years ago and they pooped wherever and whenever they felt like it. Poop was everywhere. Gotta go? Drop your drawers.

Same in Durango, Mexico.

I appreciate the apology and I know you meant no wrong in the comment we are discussing.......I was just trying to stand up for a country that I've grown to love but have seen it devolve into drug controlled chaos.

We're both on the same page buddy..........

Unions had a place years ago - - today they’re part of the liberal rip-off of workers.
