Just how far would Mormonism ever have gotten without American Wester Civilization and the Bill of Rights (the original one, not FDR’s contrivance addition of world rights, sheesh)?
There’s a very strong streak of victimology in Mormon culture/religion. Their recitation of their founding history begins with them being hounded & oppressed by the rest of America.
