On the one hand, yes it was slightly gauche and not what you’d expect to eat at a once-in-a-lifetime dinner with the President of the United States.

On the other hand, I think he knows his target audience. Can’t imagine a less discerning bunch of palates than a group of college football players.

If I were going to the White House to meet the President, I wouldn’t be concerned about what I’m going to eat.

I think the people who voted for Trump have had enough of this "presidential" stuff.

We've had too many presidents before Trump who looked and sounded the part and acted "presidential" but didn't get crap done.

Comments like he doesn't act presidential, he doesn't look presidential, he's not sophisticated enough be president are just another way of saying "he's not like all the rest of the losers we've elected in the past".

Well, guess what? He is the president and by definition, that makes anything he says or does, "presidential".

Trump takes action and doesn't apologize. My kind of guy and finally, my kind of president.

"Slightly gauche", my arse.

Many on the White House staff are furloughed.

I think Trump is a genius....There was plenty of food there for these players to choose what they wanted.

“...Can’t imagine a less discerning bunch of palates than a group of college football players.”

Newsflash: discerning palettes can enjoy fast food. It’s yummy.
