WASHINGTON – Leaders with the American Federation of Government Employees are calling out Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie for disparaging a disabled combat veteran who shared his firsthand accounts of veterans who are suffering extreme financial hardships under this unprecedented government shutdown.

"The notion that most veterans are so fragile from their service that the slightest hint of hardship can push them to the brink of mental breakdown or even self-harm is preposterous,"

Well hell. This disabled person who’s also a veteran (not military disabled, so not a “disabled veteran) demands this union guy apologize for smearing all my veteran bros and sisters as weak sucks. And that apology needs to be sincere.
Only dousing self with gasoline and lighting up on fire will be taken seriously.
Can’t speak for other locations but my VA (Lebanon, PA) announced even before the shutdown that there would be no disruption of service.
I’m not sure the VA budget is even part of a partial sbutdown.

John F. Kerry is also a freaking traitor who lied to Congress and met with the enemy to negotiate our eventual loss.
John F. Kerry’s pro-North Vietnamese military club also discussed a plot to kill US congressmen until support for the war ended.
I don’t know this guy who made a complaint but there are partisans and disgruntled people in and out of uniform.
Anyone remember the military grad with the “Communism will win” slogan proudly displayed at his graduation?

I’ve had friends eat a bullet over less than missing a paycheck.
I don’t think it’s for some fuckin pog to say otherwise. Especially when he is supposed to be the head of the VA.
I know what he was trying to say, but it didn’t come out right.
I had a cousin and an uncle end it all. One security police and one fighter pilot. Neither one even noticed minor inconvenience. Their own inner demons got ‘em.
