What’s the difference between a State of the Union Address, and the regular day to day meetings in the House. Her citing “potential security concerns” tells me she is more concerned about giving the President a podium, and her “security” than that of the American People, she claims to represent. Her “security”, what about our “security”, with an open border an illegals constantly getting through, to the tune of over 10 million presently. That is not to mention the drugs, human trafficking, and persons from Middle Eastern terrorist territories crossing our border.
She needs to get rid of her security and walls, before she starts lecturing Americans about how secure our open borders are. If we are so secure, she needs no wall around her property, nor locks on her doors.
Unfreepin believable, this is what our free speech Leftists have become.

Jefferson’s procedure was followed by future Presidents until Woodrow Wilson reverted to the former procedure of personally addressing Congress, which has continued to this day.That is how Wikipedia renders it, and it reveals how Wilson saw himself. Nothing prohibiting any variation from an address to Congress.
So, the Leftists are taking their ball and heading back to their orafice.

He will just give the SOTU address from the White House, or maybe in a great big stadium ...which will fill up for sure with enthusiastic supporters

If they don’t want to show respect to the POTUS, ok. No one is forcing the Democrats to receive Trump.
Trump should march on the Hill with his bodyguards and seize the floor.

Make jokes at their expense.
His rallies are great; but for the SOTU, doing it from the White House gives an emphatic stamp of authority, and is powerful symbolically. Many of us relate the iconic image of a president speaking from the Oval Office with moments of national crisis.
With no guests brought in for political showmanship by the congresscritters.
Stand up a national civilian militia to back up and support the Armed Forces and traditional law enforcement . NOT subject to Posse Commitatus provisions
Trump can call for a rally at the Mall for that Tuesday and give his speech there. If it's about addressing the people, then let the people come to hear it directly, at the mall, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, with the Reflecting Pond and the Washington Monument at the other end, and Congress nowhere in sight. That would be a great Trumpian visual.
Oh, and he can show off how good the Washington DC security really is, too.

Extending your excellent suggestion (no pun), why not Missouri? Hold it in the middle of the country. Make them fly out there.

I heard Rush say something like this. State of the Union is a constitutional requirement, but it was not as big of a deal, TV made it so.
That is probably the right answer. He should have all the pomp and ceremony of the regular SOTU, but do it in a venue where he can have 20,000+ of his biggest fans. Bring 1,000 victims of illegals and their crimes, and talk about what Pelosi's "sparks of humanity" did to their families. Bring all the usual symbolic guests. Just don't represent the socialists at all. SOTU is mandatory - POTUS is required by law to:
"He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them . . ."
Don't convene the House or Senate by his own order, although he could. Just point out that the democrats and RINOs are derelict in their constitutional duties both to receive his SOTU and to defend our borders against invasion, so he is delivering his SOTU to the people directly and declaring a national emergency to build the Wall directly.
