Why is the NFL endorsing and pushing rap in a halftime show?
Are they trying to make some half-assed political statement?
Has rap gone mainstream and I just didn’t notice it?

I'm certain the Pips have her back are perfectly in sync and have choreographed their every move to support her.

I hope Ms Knight is in great voice and has a great show.
That said, I’m kind of surprised to hear this plan.
There has been discussion here lately that Gladys may have some level of Alzheimers.

During the week surrounding Aretha Franklin’s (eight hour!) funeral, Gladys said something about, the last time she met with Aretha, the two bonded, because “We shared the fact that we had the same disease.” Gladys’ publicist said ‘Gladys was ‘misinterpreted’. She does not have pancreatic cancer.”
Maybe Gladys was just caught up in the grief and spoke from the heart, making a general statement that really was mis-heard. The two women had been friends for decades.
