It’s hard to make a case for a “national emergency” when this sh!t has been allowed to go on for the first two years of his administration.

Good point.
That will be the judge’s rationale for squashing the whole thing probably.

Not so.
In United States government, a national emergency is any extraordinary situation deemed by the President of the United States to threaten the health or safety of the citizens and which cannot be adequately addressed by the application of other laws or executive actions.
Exactly what situations do or do not constitute a state of emergency came into question in January 2019, when President Donald Trump stated that he might declare a national emergency in order to divert existing Department of Defense funds for the completion of a concrete wall (or steel barrier) intended to prevent illegal immigration along the entire southern U.S. bordera maneuver used by President Ronald Reagan in 1982 to boost construction of military facilities.

We have a 2K caravan in Mexico heading to our border - once again. I think its become enough of a crisis and too much for border patrol. This will allow him to free up assets.

No it isn’t. He makes a plausible case that for 2+ years the Democrat party has refused to protect American lives.
Democrats have recently voted for BILLIONS for a wall near Jordan, as well as aid to other nations. Yet they refuse to adequately fund a barrier that EXPERTS IN THE FIELD assert is necessary.
The time is ripe for action.
