McConnell to call for vote on Trump’s protection of ‘Dreamers’
NY Post ^ | January 20, 2019 | Mark Moore

“The legislation that the majority leader will bring to the floor this week would both reopen the remaining portions of the government, fund disaster relief, fund border security and address immigration issues that both Republicans and Democrats would like to address — all in one bill,” Don Stewart, McConnell’s deputy chief of staff, told the New York Times in an interview.

McConnell aims to put pressure on Democrats who have said they will not negotiate with Trump on his wall until the government reopens.

Stewart said the legislative package would include seven appropriation bills that would fund agencies that have been closed for 30 days.

He said McConnell hopes to see the package passed by Friday so that the government could reopen and federal workers could get a scheduled paycheck.

I suppose Ditch thinks it’s safe legislation to bring up for a vote as it is not likely to pass and there will still not be anymore Wall building after this Scene in the DC Kabuki Theater concludes.

You think this is a victory? It’s a betrayal, it’s an amnesty

Nah.

It will pass the Senate. It will make the house Democrats go on record voting against D it will pass the Senate. It will make the House Democrats go on record voting against DACA. It’s a great move politically

All academic anyway. Zero chance of passage because it includes less than 100% of what the Communists want.

Stop playing games Mitch, you coward, and dump the filibuster “rule”.

It is as old and dusty as your wife.

I think they have a chance of getting 60 votes in the Senate. If Mitch didn’t think so, I don’t think he would bring it to the floor for a vote.

Yup. More kabuki theater.

Our fed govt cares more about illegals than citizens. That’s the take away.

The wall should have been started day one. There is absolutely NO REASON to be dealing with the treasonous rats or the rinos and neverTrumpers in congress.

“fund border security”

I don’t see the word ‘wall’ here.

“Now the senate goes on-record.”

Yes, at least we will, hopefully, find out which one’s are the GOPe turds in the punchbowl. I don’t look for the House to do much more than sit in it’s hands though.

“Our fed govt cares more about illegals than citizens.”

That is NOT TRUE! The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Trump does care more about our citizens than the illegal invaders. It is the Legislative Branch, RATs and RINOs alike who do not work to protect our citizens. It is a big difference.

Couldn’t post the whole article. It’s in the beginning...”$5.7 billion for his wall,”

Watch out for this. A bill that couples DACA with the wall can pass the senate, go to the house and be changed and passed, then it goes to resolution. That’s where they strip out the wall and give us DACA anyway. Both sides would love to snooker Trump that way.

The fed govt(corrupt stasi state, both parties, corrupt courts, and mockingbird fakestream media) has been in open rebellion to Trump since he was sworn in. Effectively nullifying our votes and nullifying his presidency.
