No no, you've got it wrong:

If the river level falls, it's because Global Warming evaporated the water from the river.

If the level rises, it's because Global Warming melted the glaciers.

If the level stays the same, we're temporarily in the eye of a Global Warmstorm.

In all cases, global hot air is endangering life on earth, especially widows & orphans & people of color & LGBTQABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP-ers & families separated at the border.

And the only solution is to turn over to a massive worldwide govt bureaucracy all energy production and total control of all private as well as public transportation.

Because if you can't trust Democrats and UN bureaucrats to collect & spend your money wisely, who CAN you trust after all?

This information on hunger stones is quite fascinating - its almost like this has happened before - but that just can't be - as we all know the world climate was perfect and stable until the United States of America came on the scene.

It would stand to reason that the earth is either heating up or cooling down when measured over a protracted period.

I bet if all humans beings on the planet marshaled our total effort towards some practical solution we couldn't move the needle at all in one direction or the other. This is just a big dumb scam to convince people in western nations to stop having children

The acronym almost falls from my lips - GVGT.

The glaciers of Mount Kilimanjaro are slowly receding. Global warming gets blamed. However, at that altitude it rarely gets above freezing. The ice and snow is “sublimating” - basically is vaporizing without melting. The issue isn't the temperature, it is the lack of moisture (snowfall) in recent years.

Kind of like those stones in Japan that were hundreds of years old and warned people not to build houses at a lower elevation in a tsunami zone.

They haven’t seen this much snow in the Alps since those cavemen went missing in a snowstorm.

In the summer of 1943 Germany was experiencing a drought which had lowered the level of the Elbe River which runs through the port city of Hamburg. This is one reason why the RAF fire bombing of the city in July of that year was so effective.

Did he get a written guarantee that the river would always be navigable?

“past performance is no guarantee of future results”

Everything remains the same, until it doesn’t.

the Earth has been warming since the end of the last Snowball Earth period some 200 million years ago.

The flow rate should slow and levels should rise for the same amount of rainfall, as the oceans rise.

If river levels are dependent on glacial melt, that means that the glaciers are melting already. If global warming accelerates the melting, shouldn’t that mean at least a temporary increase in river levels?

Annual snow melt definitely increases flow. I live in New England, I am very aware of annual snow melt, which is why half of eastern Massachusetts is under water every April.

We were told the hymalayas would melt by 2020.. it appears to me we are behind. After the icy week i could use a bit of melting.

Mr. Wilkes should look up the word drought in the dictionary. It happens from time to time. It’s been in the dictionary for a long time.

So the solution here is if the United States pumps more money into the Climate Crisis and agrees to reenter the Paris climate agreement, the waters in the Rhine will come back up.

That’s the ticket!

If you are considering taking a river cruise on the Rhine, better do so in 2019. 2020 may be too late!

Unfortunately, the human condition is that we tend to be unaware of cycles longer than our lifespans.

History doesn’t repeat exactly, but moves in cycles that catch us by surprise over and over.

And politicians use these “new threats” to raise taxes and ratchet down control on us...
