Fox News Special Report anchor Bret Baier and his family were in a severe car accident while vacationing in Montana over the weekend.

“After a weekend of skiing with my wife and two boys in Montana, driving to the airport Monday morning on icy roads, we were involved in a major car crash. Thanks to a man driving by named Zach who stopped and helped, we were able to climb out of the flipped car. And thanks to the first responders and Montana Highway Patrol – we made it to the hospital quickly. We are very grateful to all of those who helped us out," Baier released in a statement Tuesday morning. "My advice to everyone is to always wear your seatbelt and to count your blessings everyday. I tweeted this out as we left the hospital banged up, but alive. — ‘Don’t take anything for granted – every day is a blessing and family is everything. It’s always good to remind yourself of that before something does it for you.’”

Don’t take anything for granted - every day is a blessing - and family is everything. It’s always good to remind yourself of that - before something does it for you. #countyourblessings— Bret Baier (@BretBaier) January 21, 2019

The news of the crash was first announced by Late Show host Stephen Colbert Monday night. Baier was scheduled to be on his show tonight.

“We just found out that he and his family were in a car accident in Montana. Bad, like, jaws of life to get him out of there. They’re all in the hospital but they’re going to be okay. And we just want to say: we hope you’re doing better,” Colbert said.

We wish Bret and his family a healthy and speedy recovery.

“White Privilege,” a term used by jealous folks. I’m sure you are using it as it should be, that he can afford the gear because he has earned the money. I like the saying, “if you got it, flaunt it!” A Grin & Loud Cheers, Bat

This happened Monday. If anything serious would have been involved
it would have been all over the news yesterday.

That road sounds scary! My experience was driving I-70 going home, down the mountain to Denver, from ski areas. The drivers think that they are still on the slopes and have consumed a bag full of wine!

Sheesh and Shuss!!

From the photo looks like White Mountain, best skiing in the world. I should know, lived there through my teens.

God Bless Bret and family.

Thank goodness they didn’t find any MAGA Hats in the Car.

He would have been arrested for being under the influence of the Orange Man.

Just a little Joke. I know Bair tries to be non partisan but he is an obvious anti Trumper.

Somebody could have planted a MAGA Hat in his Car though. LOL

Fox News host, family survive motor vehicle crash in Montana

Baier, 48, said a passing motorist stopped and the family was able to climb out of the flipped vehicle. He said first responders got them to a hospital quickly, from which he says they left “banged up but alive.”

The roadway was incredibly icy, said John Barnes, a spokesman for the Montana Department of Justice. Baier was unable to stop at an intersection, and his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by another vehicle, Barnes said.

ALL SUVs are flippers; whether they are built like tanks or not. High center of gravity with a short wheelbase; doesn’t take much to roll them. I’ll take a full size car anyday.
