Philth-a-delphia tried this, and got their asses kicked in the legislature and in court.

With a left wing Supreme Court in Pa. and numerous liberal federal judges to cherry pick the Democrats in Pittsburgh probably think they can make this law stick.

The district attorney (A democrat BTW) has already informed the city council that passing this ordinance will be illegal.

They’ll try, but PA’s *Law of Preemption* will insure a lengthy court battle, and they’ll eventually lose. Doubtful the Conservative Legislature will overturn/re-write the Law.

No, they will not be criminals. It’s a basic human right to be armed.

PA went “Blue” for many years because of Philly and Pittsburgh. Those two cities (and their respective counties) outweighed the rest of the “Red” votes in the state. But it takes VERY high concentrations of Democrat votes in those two cities to do that. Trump won PA because Pittsburgh went 60/40 for Hillary instead of the usual 90/10.

It’s stunts like this that will further alienate blue collar Democrats in the Pittsburgh area, many of whom are gun owners.

PA has had a pre-emption law for years. Peduto is gambling that the newly radical State Supreme Court will invent a way to invalidate it.
