There would be automatic voter registration any time someone applies for a driver’s license, with few safeguards against non-citizens registering, and lots of potential for multiple registrations from single voters.

For the May ballot, the governor has mandated absentee ballots be mailed to every new registrant even if they have not asked to be registered or to receive an absentee ballot.
