No. Trump just had to veto it. They would need 20 Republicans to override the veto. He wimped out. Simple as that.
It would have been far worse to have his veto overridden and I wouldn’t put it past Republicans to do it because the open border crowd could put the issue to rest for good.
Don’t underestimate the enemy.
