I think the problem started when cheereaders stopped dressing and acting like cheerleaders and started dressing and acting like hookers.
Half the country wants to be left alone.
The other half of the country wants to control everything you do and everything you say.
This won’t end well.
It is deeply immoral to try to control the lives of strangers just because you think you’re better than they are. But that’s the Left for ya!
Form a new league. The NFL is dead. Then hire the cheerleaders from defunct NFL teams

Actually there are TWO competitors, to the NFL coming online this year, I believe.

As a father of 2 cheerleaders. The attire is scarce for sure. As a sports fan I watch the cheerleaders in between plays and the attire isn’t the reason.
It’s the revenge of the ugly and the unpopular.

The SJWs can’t be cheerleaders (except for those two light in the loafer types for the LA Rams).

Now they have a foothold, time to go after all venues with good looking women! Cheerleaders, beauty contests, cover of magazines, creating cuck boys that never become real men and thus don’t want women.

Let the marketplace decide. The FL target audience is still men. Real men. Men like to see pretty girls. Even from a distance.

My only problem was I was never studly enough to date a cheerleader when I was still young. One of my big regrets.
FWIW, I don’t think they’re useless in a huge stadium. Mascots aren’t. Especially when there can be so much time between plays. But I think old school athleticism and common sense outfits would bring back the fun. If folks want pole dancing, they can hit the local strip club.

Hmm, looks to be about 1978.
It was considered a sport in my high school era, competitions and all. Cheerleaders were generally respected. All the jocks had ‘em, and many of the rest were jealous.
I’ve seen my alma mater’s pep rally videos lately, and all they’re missing is a pole.
I wonder what’s happening in the middle schools.
Yeah. Gotta go with the libs on this one. Sideline hookers are ridiculous.
Despise the NFL anyway.
The same sort of thing happened to NHL hockey and the sport in general. The left insisted that helmets and (later) facial shields would make the game so much safer and better. There may have been those few unfortunate instances of head and eye injuries that might have made the idea of more protective equipment seem like a good one. But all of these years later, problems involving concussions, broken necks and backs, and other related injuries are at appalling rates and that the game of the past was that better and happier thing before the left helped to damage it.
