If someone told you that quote came from a 2020 candidate, the smart money would be on Joe Biden. It’s actually from one of the field’s most progressive candidates.
With an eye on the White House, Sen. Kamala Harris, a Democrat from California, has intentionally “plant[ed] her flag on the far left,” as my colleague David Marcus outlined yesterday. It’s a self-branding campaign clearly aimed at courting the party’s progressive grassroots, which will exert a great deal of influence over the primary process. But over the past two years, Harris has quietly made a point of practicing her pitch to the center as well.
The quote excerpted above came from a Los Angeles Times profile of Harris, published in the spring of 2017, just months into her term as California’s junior senator. As did this one: “When we wake up at 3 in the morning or something is troubling us, it is never through the lens of, ‘am I Democrat or Republican,’ or on our identity based on what other people have decided is our identity.”

I don't know if it is her blatant opportunism so obviously on display in Senate Judiciary hearings, her uninhibited cackle (so reminiscent of another such cackle), or the knowledge that she used the always randy serial womanizer Willie Brown to give her career a jump start in California.
Yet, however much I loathe her, we are wise to keep one eye on this unqualified and ineligible snake.

I stand corrected.
I think the scariest thing for Trump and supporters (I’m one of them) would be if Harris or others co-opt Trump’s issues! In other words if Harris said “there is nothing wrong with walls” I’d start worrying! But I don’t think that will ever happen.
Yet, however much I loathe her, we are wise to keep one eye on this unqualified and ineligible snake.

Me also. It's about the same as I had for obozo but I'm sure it will get stronger as time goes on. Her evil smarmy dismissive attitude makes her downright punchable and I've never hit a woman. I doubt I ever will but that one makes me want to make an exception.

Sounds like she is using FOCUS GROUPS to shape her message.
Words (especially from a Democrat) are meaningless.
It is their actions that matter.
What she is in favor of is a wealth transfer from the middle class to her supporters. That is the only plank in the Democrat platform they all agree on.
She isn’t eligible. Do we stand for anything anymore?
A more subtle point is republicans have black candidates (Carson, Cain, etc.), who have real American ancestry, slavery ancestry, where their descendants went through all the hardships, trauma, all the bad stuff so their offspring could be better off...OTOH, demoncrat “black” candidates seem to never have such background...half Indian, half something islandish, Obama never had an ancestor with any slavery ancestry...they are all safe candidates, safe blacks...biracial, which they choose to call ‘black’...high yella, if you will. Even not calling them black, uses the racist one drop rule thingy...
Again, more dishonesty from the left.
She means all in the same sense Obama did.
He said “it’s our time now.”
He meant only minorities time, no one else. He was the most decisive pretender and she is following suit.
